    tercer día consecutivo con descenso de contagios pero sufre un nuevo repunte de 743 muertos

    El número de muertos en Italia con el coronavirus ha alcanzado este martes los 6.820, al aumentar en 743 en las últimas 24 horas, lo que rompe la tendencia de dos días de descenso en los fallecimientos.

    Sin embargo, los casos positivos ascienden a 54.030, 3.612 más respecto al lunes, un descenso por tercer día consecutivo, según los datos ofrecidos hoy por el jefe de Protección Civil, Angelo Borrelli.

    Un total de 8.326 personas se han curado y el número total de casos de coronavirus desde que se detectó el brote en Italia es de 69.176.

    La región de Lombardía (norte) sigue siendo la más afectada, con 30.703 contagios totales y 4.178 fallecidos, y le siguen Emilia Romaña (9.254 contagios), Véneto (5.948 contagios) y Piamonte (5.515).

    De los 54.030 contagiados actualmente, 28.697 personas se encuentran en sus casas, 21.937 están ingresadas en hospitales, 3.396 en unidades de cuidados intensivos. más información
